Got a client that has Sanicro 38 (Inconel 625)composite tube going into a Recovery Boiler & are requireing we weld the membrane & the corrosion resistant overlay with ERNiCrMo-3 I have used this weld wire in the past. The company I am working for now uses ER383 for all the Sanicro 38 welding I have never used this wire before. Can anyone provide data on the pros & cons of either weld wire.

RE: Sanicro 38

GemmelG;
I would suggest you contact Sandvik directly and discuss this with them. I have been working on an ASME Code Case for Section I application for one of their products (Sanicro 28) and there technical support is outstanding for their product line.

Or retain a qualified welding engineer.

Or post this in the pulp & paper forum.
