Need schematic for a Timer Circuit

Need schematic for a Timer Circuit

(OP)
Hello:

I am looking for help designing a circuit for the following experiment:

A small 1.5 to 3v motor powered by batteries runs for ~5 seconds when a motion sensor is triggered. (I assume this would be a similar circuit to the one used in kids shoes that flash when a step is taken.)

* One issue is that the motor wil make the whole device vibrate which would continue to trigger the motion sensor creating an endless loop. The current would have to be opened for 5 sec., closed for 2 seconds to let the motion sensor spring come to a rest, and then reset.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, please cc my email drew@ostar.net.

Thanks,
Drew

RE: Need schematic for a Timer Circuit

Look at the 555 timer app notes.  Everything you need to create those pulses is right there.

What is this for?  Why isn't an electrical person helping with the circuit design?

Thanks, Melone. I'm working on a small toy design and don't have any engineers at my immediate disposal. I ran across this forum while doing research on the design. Please email me if you know someone who does good and reasonable freelance design work. Thx, Drew
