AWWA C207 Flange Bolting

AWWA C207 Flange Bolting

AWWA C207 Flange Bolting

(OP)
Does anybody know when the AWWA C207 standard changed the bolting requirement from only mentioning A307 bolting to A307 bolting for Class B & D and A-193 bolting for Class E & F.

also, AWWA C207-01 lists only A194 nuts regardless of the bolt material in lieu of what can be found in the A307 designation (A563 nuts)

any thoughts on why A-194 nuts would be required for the A307 bolting?

thanks
mark

RE: AWWA C207 Flange Bolting

A-194 nuts are not required in C307 bolting for Class B&D flanges per AWWA C207-07 (I suspect a clarification appeared in later standards than what you are looking at).

Thanks Rconner. I was looking at the 2001 edition. this is good to know since 2-3/4" nuts were already bought to the 563 standard.
