Expressions to turn off/on instances

Expressions to turn off/on instances

Expressions to turn off/on instances

(OP)
Hi there,

Im creating a design tool whereby the 3D child part is controlled by 2D sketches from the top level through wave link and expressions. I have the ability to turn bosses on/off through a suppress by expression. This works by assigning each instance of the boss around the casing a name eq 1, 2, 3, 4..... N around the casing and then assigning each one an expression name to turn seperate bosses on/off.

With this I am limited to a specific number of bosses, is there a way to be able to change the number of bosses and be able to turn each one off/on seperately from the top level through expressions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

RE: Expressions to turn off/on instances

Well, maybe not necessarily to turn an instance on or off, but you can change the number of copies with an expression.
I haven't tried it, but you may be able to set that number to zero . . . I know for sure that "1" works.
