Pipe vibrations

Pipe vibrations

(OP)
Hi everyone

I need to evaluate a piping system, there is pipe way, for almost 8-10 lines. 2 pipe DIAM 18" A333 GR 3 and 6 pipe DIAM 8" A106 GR B. the pipes go from ground coast to pier. Between sleepers (two piles each one) and pier, there is a transversal movement 1 1/4" innches. Also there is an oscillation movement of pier. The client is asking about a dynamic analisys in Caesar II, but as I see this scenario, I suggest:

- Static Analysis in Caesar II of each pipe, applying the transversal movement, with a fatigue criteria,
- dynamic Analysis of whole pipes attached to structure of pier. In this case, Could somebody give me some guidelines, how to evaluate this dynamic analysis in Caesar II? How to input or generate the response spectrum?.

Any help is welcome.

B. regards,

Luis Cadena
