3DCONNEXION 3D Mouse

(OP)
Hi ! I get an annoyingly consistent speedbump these days. According to all I read, the 3DCONNEXION 3D Mouse ("SpaceNavigsator" puck) should operate reliably in AutoCAD 3D SHADEMODE (any display mode ex: GARAUD or HIDDEN). Problem - About every 3rd or 4th Rotation, my AutoCAD crashes, losing work since my last shade. I know there are other Zoom/Rotate methods (ex: SHIFT_Rt-Click, and 3D Constrianed Orbit, etc.) but the 3D mouse is SO useful in my other 3D programs (ex: Inventor and RHINO) that I'd REALLY prefer to be able to use it in my quick 3D layouts I do using AutoCAD. Am I missing a setting or othe value that would help with the stability of the interraction, like maybe something with the OPENGL, etc. ? Do we even still use OPENGL ? If so, it may still not factor here.

Thoughts ?

Thanks -

C. Fee

RE: 3DCONNEXION 3D Mouse

Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers?
Can you updated your 3d mouse drivers?

opengl (for autodesk products anyways) is dead.

Drivers for both are at latest versions.

"Opengl for Autodesk products is dead."
Yeah, I thought so. I wonder if that's what's tripping me up here ? Hmmmm ...

Thanks ! Any additional insights WELCOME !

Thanks -

C.
