Intersection curve incomplete/wrong solution

Intersection curve incomplete/wrong solution

Intersection curve incomplete/wrong solution

(OP)
Hi Folks

I'm using (trying to use) an intersection curve with a plane in a sketch. The intersecting surface is toroidal and the intersecting plane is coplanar with the centre axis of the toroid (so is normal to the toroidal surface).

When I commit to the command NX7.5 creates just one set of curves on the opposite side of the toroid to the focal point of my sketch rather than creating two sets of curves, one set on each side of the toroid. Thus I have two questions:

1) Why is this? Why doesn't NX create the complete solution?

2) How do I make NX create the intersection curves at my sketch where I can actually use them?

Many thanks

Dave

Hi Kapil,

I just revisited the command and yes I do - I just hadn't spotted it ...I'll try to remember my spectacles in future!

Thanks for your help.

Dave
