Static Pressure

Static Pressure

Static Pressure

(OP)
I need to fix a fan design. Have following inputs

Fan flow rate 11247 Nm3/hr
Suction Pressure 0.99 bara
discharge pressure 1.043 bara
Min / Norm temp 27/33 Deg C
Diff. pressure 0.06 bar
What should be the static pressure required for this fan? Is 0.053 bar correct?
Is the basis depending on Diff.pressure or discharge pressure?

RE: Static Pressure

0.053 is right for the design conditions quoted (design suction and design discharge). this is sufficient to define the airspeed of the fan exhaust (or at least the deltaV) and combined with the flow rate you get the fan area.

0.06 is either round off, or i wonder if the diff pressure can be higher at off-design cases and they're covering this ?
