Mass Assignment

Mass Assignment

Mass Assignment

(OP)
Hey Guys!

Is it possible to directly assign a mass in Creo?

I'm making a space model. I don't have all the features or internals of the component. I just want to assign the part mass "4". Do I really have to adjust the density to the part volume to get the right mass? That seems really silly...and it will be a pain if I'm asked to add more definition to the space model in the future.

RE: Mass Assignment

Here's how to do it.

1- Open the parameters
2- There is a drop-down box at the bottom of the parameters box, change it from Main to Alternate Mass Properties
3- Set the parameter PRO_MP_SOURCE to PARAMETERS
4- Enter the mass you want into the PRO_MP_ALT_MASS

RE: Mass Assignment

Open File/Properties

Where it says "Mass Properties" click "Change"

in the Source pull-down box select "Geometry and Parameters"

in Actions select "Edit"

enter your mass value in the Mass box.
