Steel plate thicknesses normal in Brazil

Steel plate thicknesses normal in Brazil

Steel plate thicknesses normal in Brazil

(OP)
Hi - We are looking at having a variation of an existing product manufactured in Brazil. Currently it is made of metric thickness steel plates ranging from 5mm to 20mm thick. I know Brazil is a metricated country but I am having difficulty finding out what plate thicknesses would normally be available sourced locally. I have tried Google but without definitive results. Material grade will not be an issue but re-engineering for imperial thicknesses will be time consuming. I am trying to get ahead of our buyers as we are on a very short lead time and I need to progress the design.

Best regards

Hi - Just been informed the plate is in metricated imperial sizes so 4,75 mm , 6,3 mm , 8 mm , 9,5 mm , 12,5 mm , 16 mm , 19 mm and so on.

Thanks anyway
