Lifting Pick Point Required Identification

Lifting Pick Point Required Identification

Lifting Pick Point Required Identification

(OP)
Hello All,

I have designed a bulk product bin with an external tube structure that requires 4 corner lifting points on the frame. I have ran the frame through FEA and found that I have a SF= 3.33 on all frame members and the D-Rings will be loaded under half the rated WWL when the angle from the top of the bin is greater than 30 degrees being picked from a central lift point. The only OSHA regulation that I can find designating requirements for a lifting points states "1926.251(a)(2)(i) - Has permanently affixed and legible identification markings as prescribed by the manufacturer that indicate the recommended safe working load". Is there a standard label that designates minimum cable angle for the lift points with the rated working load. Does a PE have to stamp a document that proves the lifting points have been analyzed and approved? I am an engineer but I do not have a PE. Your help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
