Small vacuum pumps

Small vacuum pumps

(OP)
Am designing a vacuum box for adhesive curing. Need to draw down to approx 15" hg. I saw a GSE vacuum pump. Does anyone have any knowledge of these pumps?

RE: Small vacuum pumps

Never heard of this brand, they look like they would only draw a very slight vacuum.
Some of their equipment looks like it might only be a vacuum blower and not an actual vacuum pump.
Also 15" hg is not a very deep vacuum at all, are you sure this final pressure is sufficient for your application?
Two big vacuum manufacturers I have come across are Busch & Edwards.
I recommend researching their oil flooded rotary vane pump range.
They will probably be more expensive then GSE however.

RE: Small vacuum pumps

I have used Gast rotary vane pumps and Dial-A-Vac diaphram pumps drawing down to about 22" I have had no problems with these and they do support their product.
I have no experience with GSE.
