Test pressure for API flange

Test pressure for API flange

Test pressure for API flange

(OP)
I have been asked by my head office for a test pressure for a 1 13/16" 10000 API flange,

"Hydrostatic Pressure Test for 1 13/16" 10000 API flange
We don't have much experience in manufacturing API flanged thermowells.
So sorry to bother you, but would you please let us know what pressure
they should be pressure tested externally?"

Can any one help me please.

RE: Test pressure for API flange

andrewjenkins,

API requires 1.5 Working Pressure for Hydro.  In this case, hydro pressure would be 15,000 psi.  You will also need to know PSL level and which if any PR level gas testing may be required.
