Maximum tool length using a journal

Maximum tool length using a journal

(OP)
Hello.

Is there any way to get from CAM operation maximum tool length using journal code?
Maximum Tool length should be taken from top of a geometry (it could be a selected point)
In other words I'm trying to get the minimum "Z" coordinate of tool path according to "MCS Z axis" computed from a selected point.

Best Regards

RE: Maximum tool length using a journal

Try record a journal: MB3 on operation/toolpath/Report shortest tool.
What You write is minimum Z, but the holder may go under blank top plane safely..
