Preferred Method for Attaching a Steel Beam to Existing Concrete?
Preferred Method for Attaching a Steel Beam to Existing Concrete?
(OP)
What is your preferred method for attaching a steel beam to an existing concrete wall or column? I've seen angles used a seats, end plates welded to the beam, and clip angles, with all of these configurations attached to the concrete with post-installed anchors of various descriptions. Is there a reason to use one type over another? Or do any of you have an particular preference for one style over another? Thanks in advance.
