QAF files with images of model views

QAF files with images of model views

When saving to Teamcenter we get Named References of the type "UG-QuickAccess-Binary" in the Dataset. These contain jpeg-files named for example: images_model_views_NAME_OF_MODEL_VIEW.qaf

We would like to use these to display model views outside of NX. But they are very small, 247 × 185 pixels, and not really usable.

Does anyone know how to change the size that NX generate these images?

RE: QAF files with images of model views

Hello,

I had the same question asked to the helpdesk. (IR 1925999)

This was their answer:

Is it possible to set the size of a QAF preview image to a custom value when saving a part?

We would like to have it a bit bigger so that size becomes 280x285.

Bruno,

Sorry, this is not possible. Remember these images may effect performance quite a bit.

I was also baffled that there are no settings available.
So I've converted the IR to Enhancement Request: ER1925999

Regards

That is good to know. Hope that they will provide settings for this.

Thank you for your response!
