RE: BMS-8's Procurement

Each Boeing Material Specification [BMS] has an associated Qualified Products List (like all corporate and most generic [AMS, etc] material standards).

Getting access to the current QPL for each of the specs cited is only one part of Your problem. The supplier must be willing/authorized to sell You the material directly with appropriate certification data [for traceability]. In many cases, raw products made for a specific OEM company cannot be sold independently by the producer using the OEMs P/N unless it is licened to do so. This allows the OEM to retain control of their materials [parts, etc] distribution.

CAUTION.
If any of the BMS materials You cited are used in critical/proprietary applications there may be very tight distribution restrictions imposed by Boeing and/or by the US DoD or State Department due to ITAR [international traffic in arms] restrictions.

NOTE.
Exceptions may apply when a material is developed independently by a producer, then is cross-qualified to meet one or corporate material specifications.

Regards, Wil Taylor

Thank you very much wktaylor. I appreciate your response.

Is there at least a way of finding out who the OEM is for each BMS? I've tried googling all of them out of desperation but I had no luck.

Ref the export restrictions I think it souldn't be a problem, we deal with export controlled items very often so we would apply for an export licence with an end-user statement.

Thanks,
