Pakistani 11kV metering

Pakistani 11kV metering

Pakistani 11kV metering

(OP)
Has anybody have any experience of jobs in Pakistan and in particular metering of 11kV supplies? Really struggling to the relative legislation and standards involved. Google isn't really coming up with the product this time.

Ta in advance.

RE: Pakistani 11kV metering

I haven't worked in Pakisatn for 15 years, but it was difficult to find any specifications for metering from WAPDA except for some generic spec's for metering of ouptut of IPP generating plants selling power to WAPDA.

ABB and Siemens had a strong presence there and might have some suggestions.

RE: Pakistani 11kV metering

I am sure you can get the specs from Manager M&T (Metering and Testing) of any Distribution company in Pakistan. If you are specifically interested in Islamabad area; the DISCO is called IESCO - Islamabad electric supply company Ltd.
See web link: http://www.iesco.com.pk/index.php/organisation/org...
Contact Operational Director on 0092-51-9252907 or see contact link : http://iesco.com.pk/index.php/operation-directorat...

Hope this helps

Thanks chaps, I believe the prospective job it is in the Sindh region of Pakistan but I know that Karachi Electricity Supply Company also cover this region to some extent.

I did find http://www.nepra.org.pk/standards.htm these suite of standards, with a section on metering requirements in both the Grid Code and the Distribution Code, hopefully these shall suffice as I believe these govern as DISCOs.
