Work in Dynamic Sectioning
Work in Dynamic Sectioning
(OP)
Dear Members,
Been a long time reader, and usually search for what I need, but tonight I can't seem to work it out:
I am looking at a part in 'Dynamic Sectioning' view using one of my planes. However I need to create some new internal geometry whilst in this view - you can see this crudely drawn onto the attached image.
I need to create a small tube shown by the blue lines. Is there a simple way to do this?
Thanks,
Max

Right click over the Application --> Section and export. This will give you a CATPart of the curves. Add that to your assembly using Insert --> Existing Component. Since this is the construction geometry you need, I would use this new inserted part as the CATPart for the tube. Create a center spine and a positioned sketch and you are in business. Or copy the geometric set of curves to your predefined tube part. Not sure how you have Catia structured.

RE: Work in Dynamic Sectioning
I decided to go with mtmadalin's answer, however I had trouble creating a new plane. I was able to rotate a verticle plane but not a horizontal plane.
In the attached image you can see that I have been able to rotate the XY(highlighted) and YZ planes around a vertical axis. However Whenever I try to rotate the ZX plane about the same axis I get an error that an infinite number of solutions exist.
This problem of having to rotate all planes by a small amount is down to my own CAITA ignorance at the start of the project months ago.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Max
