limits and fits

(OP)

My Machinery’s Handbook only covers up to 20” dia. shafts and I'm looking for an H7/h6 fit between the O.D. and I.D. of two rings. The nominal dia. is 120". Can anyone recommend the amount of clearance as well as a suitable tolerance for a standard shop to turn something like this?
The fit is a locational clearance. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

RE: limits and fits

120" = 3048mm

3048H7 = 3048mm/3048.21mm  = 120.000"/120.0083"

3048h6 = 3048mm/3047.865mm = 120.000"/119.9947"

I hope it helps!

RE: limits and fits

Walms,
Hope you have some nice radii or large
chamfer to get these together.  The two
rings will probably have considerable
runout.

Will do, thanks for the input guys.

My pleasure
