FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

(OP)
Hi there
Can anyone telle me who is the manufacturer of this FET component ?

Best Regards
Hans-Henrik

RE: FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

The only clue is that the filename of your image is Samsung_galaxi_FET.jpg.

Using the complete name of the mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy S2, S3, ??...), search for the applicable tear down websites and see if they happen to identify the component. Every mobile phone in the world has been torn down and all the major components identified.

I do not quite understand the answer of yours. Are you not able to see the photo of the component?
I have searched many webpages and they all lead to Samsung Repair manual level3 where this component is designated Q500. The part number is 0505-002388. The filename of the picture is due to the fact that this component is located in the charging circuit on the motherboard of a Samsung Galaxy S2, i9100. By replacing this component I may be lucky that the charging circuit is working fine again after water intrusion.

RE: FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

Which part are you claiming is an FET? Why are you not asking the people who identified the part who the manufacturer is?

The FET is the one with tag 93133
Believe I have asked Samsung support but no answer yet!

I admire your optimism.

RE: FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

Actually, I was referring to the teardown sites. Nonetheless, are you sure it's a single FET, since the device has 6 solder pads?

Could it be that only 3 solder pads are used, i.e. D,G,S? According to
Samsung manual this is Q500 component which is listed as a silicon FET.
The teardown site does not reveil anything not already known. It
does not tell the manufacturer name of this component

RE: FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

Samsung makes quite a few of their own semiconductors. Being a Samsung phone, I'd put the odds better than 50-50 that it's a Samsung part.

Maybe you could buy an old S2 phone for parts? I can't imagine they cost very much used (especially if the screen is broken, for example).

RE: FET SILICON transistor manufacturer

Earlier today I did some more Googling. There seems to be more than a few "Samsung" parts with part numbers in the same 0505-xxxxxx format. This indicates that they're either Samsung manufactured parts, or under a Samsung SCD (Source Control Document). Given the structure of the S. Korean economy (chaebol), the former is slightly more likely.
