This may be a dumb question, but...

I am pretty new to using Abaqus, and I made a 2D planar model, created the material, created the section, assigned the section, defined the assembly as independent, configured the analysis with a simple tensile force and boundary condition of symmetry, seeded the edges and meshed the model. At many of these steps I got a warning message 'Warning: Coincident Point Selected'. What does that mean? I tried this about 4 times, and every time the job aborted due to errors. I would be grateful for any suggestions of things I could look for. Thank you for your help.

Thank you, that's a really nice offer. I re-did the same model about 5 times, and the last 3 times I did not have the issues????? So I completed the analysis, and even though I am not 100% sure what I did differently, I am just hoping I won't run into this again.
