Staat Pro to SAP2000 export

Staat Pro to SAP2000 export

(OP)
Hi, guys! I have a FE model of a frame steel structure (mezzanine for a turbine foundation), built in Staat Pro v2007. I want to use this model for calculations with SAP2000 v14 and I want to export it. Is there a smart way to do it, so I can keep as many properties as possible (frame and material properties, point and area loads, added masses, spring supports etc). An option for me is to do it via FEMAP v10, but I lose the aforementioned properties and it is time consuming to put them back in. I'll be glad to hear a proposal, that saves some time. :)

RE: Staat Pro to SAP2000 export

Try exporting as CIS/2 format from Staad.Pro, and then import the resulting *.stp file back into SAP2000. CIS/2 format should support material and section properties, loads, restraints, etc.

Hope this helps!
