Driving dimension

Driving dimension

I try to get Driving dimension in the 2D drafting, but it doesn't work.
I did go to: Tools > Options > Mechanical Design > Drafting > Dimension and check the Create driving dimension box, but it doesn't work.
Is there something elcse that I need to adjust?

Thanks

RE: Driving dimension

Hy,

If the view is made after a 3D model then that option is always deactivated because the dimension is linked to 3d model and you can't changed.
When you construct a profile or something with 2d elements and you dimension these elements , than this option will be active and you can modify the length of a line.

I know that we can modify the 3D geometry from the drawing environment.....
I am a NX user, I haven't used Catia very often, but I rememember that when I did, driving dimension went just fine!
