Mold part and blends

Mold part and blends

Mold part and blends

(OP)
Hi,
I attach an example, but I'm projecting a plastic cover where faces have different drafts and must be blended.
I'm trying to blend two edges with the same radius, but the result is not correct.
The correct result is indicated with the arrow with 'yes'.
I can't split my plastic cover, because is very complicated.
I tried with trimming option, but the second edge give me an error.
It's possible to obtain the result like 'yes' with one blend command ?

Thank you...

RE: Mold part and blends

Hi Cubalibre00 ,
Sorry i am not ware if i can accompolish the same in one step (i am working it out now).
But in case two edge blends will do in your case then there is an option.I am attaching an image herewith.
Will let you know if i come across a shortcut way of achieving the same.
Best Regards

Hi Kapil,
this is what I do and write in the first post.
I'm looking for a solution with one feature, but if it's not possible, I will use this strategy.

Thank you...

RE: Mold part and blends

Hi Cubalibre00,
My bad.Sorry i didn't notice it that you have already used it.My opinion is that since the drafts are of different values and also the edge blend section (a rolling ball blend) will always be normal to the intersection edge so it might be difficult to be achived in one shot (at least mathematically till the edge blend gets trimmed off by the plane).

This looked to me like that we can have a chance if and only if we can control the blend section to remain vertical (Kindly find attached an option i created using FACE BLEND and this is a single step option (if you can pardon the line i created for using it as spine curve)).I hope you might find it interesting.
But this is a crazy CAD world and i have seen people doing wonders and achieve the seemingly impossible so let us wait for other comments too.
Best Regards
