Does anyone recomend a SAE book or paper that shows how CFD can be used to aid in cylinder head design?

RE: CFD and cylinderhead design

victorymotorsports,

A search on SAE International's website (www.sae.org) produced the following results using the keywords:

CFD cylinder head design

WebPage: Off-Highway Engineering Online: Technical Innovations
www.sae.org/ohmag/techinnovations_12-99/01.htm

WebPage: Automotive Engineering International Online: Tech Briefs (March 2002)
www.sae.org/automag/techbriefs/03-2002/index.htm    ;

Paper: 1999-01-1183: A Comparison of Experimental and Analytical Steady-State Intake Port Flow Data Using Digital Physics

Paper: 1999-01-0170: Direct Injection Gasoline Engines - Combustion and Design

Paper: 2000-01-0570: On the Flow Modeling Through the Valve Assembly in Engine Cycle Simulations

Paper: 2000-01-1179: Numerical Study of the Combustion Chamber Shape for Common-Rail H.S.D.I. Diesel Engines

Also, try searching on Google.com with the same keywords:

www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&q=CFD+cylinder+head+design

Additionally, try adding "SAE" for, perhaps, more specific results.

Best regards,

Matthew Ian Loew
