how to power capacitor bank?

how to power capacitor bank?

how to power capacitor bank?

(OP)
Hello,
I have to capacitor bank which is inside a medium voltage VVVF equipment for maintainence job. This bank is seris connected with three 4700uF capacitors. Anyone could tell me what kind of meter is capable to check caps' volume? How about multimeter? Is capacitor meter better than multimeter? Any meter is for large volume capacitor? Thank you.

RE: how to power capacitor bank?

If you do not know how to test MV capacitors, I STRONGLY suggest that you NOT open the cabinet of a MV VFD to try to learn. Seasoned veterans in the Drives world have been killed by even the smnallest of mistakes!
