Rotating Break View Component

(OP)
Hey Guys,

Essentially my problem is that I want to have a long thin walled pipe with a broken section, but I would like one side of my break to be rotated 45 degrees. Any tips?

Thanks

RE: Rotating Break View Component

I disagree... your problem is that you don't explain things very well... rofl
Seriously... Are you talking about a BROKEN OUT SECTION detail on a drawing?
If so... Please explain what you mean by "one side of my break"

RE: Rotating Break View Component

I have never seen a broken section with both sides at different angles.
It goes against any standards that I know of, so SW will not do it.
I don't know about SW13 yet...

RE: Rotating Break View Component

You might have to create the exact section you want in the model and save that as a configuration... Then display that specific configuration in your drawing view.

Sorry for my poor description, I am beginning to think it is not possible. I'm trying to recreate a hand drawn model from the 70's. Thanks for the help guys, I really appreciate it.

RE: Rotating Break View Component

Do you want an angled breakview where the breaks are alined to a 45 deg angle for teeth style or angled instead of vertical break lines? A Pencil Sketch even a scrawl would definately help out in figuring out what you need.

You can create 1 regular view and an angled one then break half off of each and fake it. Or just draw it in DraftSight.
