How to use Boolean to sum stress components in Abaqus

How to use Boolean to sum stress components in Abaqus

(OP)
Hi

I am new user of this wonderful site.

I have been modelling a material with different moduli in tension and compression in Abaqus 6.10-2 by creating a 'ghost' mesh which has the same node numbers as the base mesh but different element numbers. I have two materials defined by engineering constants. The one contains the compressive properties (lower). The other contains a set of stiffness that bump this up to the tensile values, with the *No Compression option. This is applied to the ghost mesh. This creates the effect of different moduli.

This means in model results Abaqus overlays different stresses for the two materials. I want to visualise a new field which is the sum of the stresses in the two overlaid materials. Any idea how I do that?

Thanks

EHH
