Hi, I`m designing a bracket for

Hi,

I`m designing a bracket for pipe at high temperature. The bracket consists in austenitic stainless steels plates welded together. Ansys is the software that i`m using for stress analysis.

Which code? should I follow to determine the stress limits (allowable stress) for comparison?. Only loads and pressure are used for the analysis in ANSYS

I know that creep will influence my stress limits because of the high temperature of the pipe (1350ºF).

Any suggestions???

RE: Hi, I`m designing a bracket for

ASCE 8-02 Specification for the Design of Cold-Formed Stainless Steel Structural Members has allowable stress information relating to austenitic stainless steels. Don't let the title fool you, the specification allows for built up members and other items (ref: Section 4.2).
