Abaqus: element properties error and PZT actuation problem

Abaqus: element properties error and PZT actuation problem

(OP)
Hi all,

Let me start by saying that I just started using Abaqus (noobie) and I'm encountering some problems.

I'm trying to reproduce a simulation done in the paper: "Lamb wave propagation simulation in smart composite structures".
In this paper a panel and pzt are modeled and the pzt is used to actuate a lamb wave in the panel.

I managed to model the pzt and panel, but I get an error saying element properties missing. I'm tried a lot of this but I did not succeed. Second, I'm not able to actuate the pzt to get a lamb wave in the panel.

Therefore, I was wondering if any of you can help me further.

Thanks in advande,

Regards,

RE: Abaqus: element properties error and PZT actuation problem

Hey,
I am having the exact same issue , trying to simulate the exact same experiment! Have you made any progress? I am really struggling to get the simulation to work and would really appreciate your help.

Regards.
