FBD of taper roller bearing

FBD of taper roller bearing

FBD of taper roller bearing

(OP)
Hi all,

Can someone help me in drawing the free body diagram for a taper roller bearing when a radial load is applied on it. FBD for the inner race, rollers as well as the outer race separately . Any good material on this also will help me a lot.

Thanks

RE: FBD of taper roller bearing

As a longer lasting educational exercise why don’t you put your thinkin cap on, dig out a few of you Strength of Materials, Engineering Mechanics and Machine Design text books, and try to draw these FBD’s before you look at the Timken engineering catalog which GregL suggests. Then let Timken’s detailed descriptions guide you in making corrections to your first attempts. Why wouldn’t the above texts be your first, go-to, reference books, assuming you didn’t sell them as used (I mean useless) books after the class was over.
