Intrinsically Safe Motor for UL60079

(OP)
Can anyone make a recommendation for a manufacturer experienced in designing Intrinsically Safe motors to meet UL60079 or Someone that has them? (12V, 8V, maybe even 4V?)
Thanks
Erik

Contrex is one. I think it's something you can find on GlobalSpec or Thomasnet as well.

Personally, I would find an air-driven or hydraulic motor. The best solutions are always: 1) Eliminate the fuel, or 2) eliminate the electricity.

Best to you,

Just an update...
I am looking for what I have seen called a "micromotor" ie: somewhere around 25mm in diameter
It needs to be brushless
I am looking for "ib" rating

I will try Globalspec and thomasnet..
Thanks,
Erik

They make very small air motors. What do you want this to do?

It is for a portable blower (air mover) so an air motor wont work
