Having troubles deleting a thicken surface

Having troubles deleting a thicken surface

Having troubles deleting a thicken surface

(OP)
I am creating a model for a stream liner racer for a senior design project, I wanted to change the windshield design to see if I can decrease the drag force in the CFD test. When I go to delete the old windshield it gives me an error saying the selected surface cannot be deleted. I have even tried to delete other surfaces that it sits on thinking that there might be some kind of constraint but it won't let me delete any other thickened surfaces. Does Solid Edge have a bug with this? Any advice would be great, I have also tried to delete the sketches that I used to create my surface but it still won't allow me to delete. Thanks for the help.
