Does UBRS (User's Basic Requirement Specification per ASME RTP-1) requires for FRP Tanks?

Hello Everone,

I have a questions about UBRS requirement. Do we need to fill out UBRS for FRP Tanks. It's an atmospheric tank.

I am sure UBRS is required for Pressure vessels with FRP material if you want ASME RTP-1 stamp.

Your reply would be really valuable.

Thanks

HK

If you want the vessel ASME RTP-1 stamped, you need to provide a UBRS to the fabricator. FRP pressure vessels are covered under ASME Section X.

What does the manufacturing specification demand? For example, API 12P has a generic datasheet to be completed.
