Condition Based Maintenance Program

Condition Based Maintenance Program

(OP)
I have a huge number of Caterpillar engines for drilling operations in so many failed. When I concern the amount of our Preventive Maintenance is cost huge amount. Now, I'm thinking of using another strategy to maintain my equipment by establishing Condition Based Maintenance Program. Please provide me your thoughts from the field & experience? Also, the best establishment method?

RE: Condition Based Maintenance Program

Obviously you need a means to assess condition of the equipment- is there data gathered about the equipment's condition and then you need to determine the equipment's reliability that you need and then its complex analysis to see if CBM makes sense.

I think this is more Reliability Engineering rather than Project Engineering. I suggest you post a thread in
