You want it only in the 2D drawing view, and not the 3D model?

Yes, i want only in the 2D drawing view.
In the 3D i know how do it, but i want in the 2D drawing view.

You can use WordArt on the Insert menu in Word and then ctl+C and ctl+P to insert into SW. On screen it shows a box around it, but it doesn't print. You'll probably have to play around with it until you get the right appearance. Sylvia

Is the text to be overlayed on a drawing view, or placed as a separate annotation?

I think you can just sketch it in the part and hide the sketch, then in the drawing view feature tree right click the sketch and show it from there.
