NX7.5 - Spaceball usage

NX7.5 - Spaceball usage

(OP)

Hi,
I use a SpaceExplorer.
Does somebody know what is the use of:
1) Button 1 and 2?
2) Button "+" and "-"?
3) Button "PANEL" and "FIT"?

Thanks

RE: NX7.5 - Spaceball usage

Doesn't the space ball have a GUI interface that allows you to define the buttons for what you want them to do in NX?

'+' ans '-' I would guess are zoom in and out.

'Fit' would be an autofit, if you get so messed up you can't see the part anymore.

Thanks, looslib,
'+' ans '-' buttons do not do any zoom.
"FIT" does not fit the view (as I thought, too).

RE: NX7.5 - Spaceball usage

By default, the "+" and "-" buttons increase/decrease the sensitivity.
I'd suggest modifying the profile (there's usually a 3dxware icon in your system tray you can use to get to it) to change the button action to do something useful for you.

RE: NX7.5 - Spaceball usage

As Cowski says +/- controls the sensitivity, 1 & 2 are assignable (as are pretty much all the others. 'Panel' should bring up the space explorer control panel and 'fit' should do exactly that - zoom the selected item to fit the window.

Make sure you have the latest drivers and there should be an NX profile included, it is then a simple matter of assigning functions to buttons.
