How to get rid of that red pencil icon next to feautures?

How to get rid of that red pencil icon next to feautures?

How to get rid of that red pencil icon next to feautures?

(OP)
I know enough that it means it needs more elements or data given to get rid of it, but I am drawing simple sheet metal parts with some contour flanges, louvres, etc. I want to flatten them, but I cannot, I assume because almost all of my features have that red icon pencil next to them. The flatten command is always greyed out. I go back to each feature, and I make sure all the lines are connected, each endpoint intersects with another, I dont know what to do, every single feature I draw always has that icon next to it, I dont know what else to try. Any ideas? Thanks

RE: How to get rid of that red pencil icon next to feautures?

The pencil icon means that your profiles are not fully constrained. It has no bearing on whether or not your sheet metal part can be flattened.

Only bends can be flattened. Features like louvres, dimples, and gussets will not flatten.

RE: How to get rid of that red pencil icon next to feautures?

You need to switch to the 'flat pattern' mode to be able to use the 'flatten' command. Check under 'Tools'.

The red pencil icon has nothing to do with your problem like swertel said. You can disable this in the options. You should had dimensions may be (and also check that 'maintain relationships' is on)
