shear transfer to concrete via shotpins?

shear transfer to concrete via shotpins?

(OP)
Are there any shotpins (or similar) in the market, with an available ESR report, to transfer seismic shear forces from shear wall (down to cold-form steel tracks) to concrete slab of self-suported structure?

RE: shear transfer to concrete via shotpins?

Hi Cruzinbear,

Typically our firm has used Hilti X-U pins for a situation similar to what you describe when the walls are fairly lightly loaded. Please note that we have not used them for a designated seismic system, only R=3 systems so far (I think that seismic testing was specifically out scoped in the reports linked below).
