Request - Comparison of two house insulations: inside and outside
(OP)
Hi Guys!!
I'm not an expert of civil engineering and I'd like to ask you for feedback.
I'm looking for any test results of the comparison between two same i.e. houses insulated by the same material (glasswool or styrofoam).
One house with inside walls insulation (walls, basement, ceilings etc.) and another houses/buildings with outside insulation.
Perhaps You have meet sort of tests or you know where can i find an answer! Thank you a lot!

Any kind if you have! Typical, standard wall materials for winter climate would be perfect!

The type and placement of insulation does depend on the type od construction. Very little of the world lives with lightweight walls and the majority have heavier walls. There is no real standard of wall construction.
For heavy walls, you want the insulation on the outside to get the thermal mass benefits. For lightweight construction (wood frame typically), you insulate the inside of the wall or hopefully follow the pink panther and ignore the thermal short-circuiting caused by the studs.

I couldn't find any book of Mr Gus Handegord thru google.com. Can you send me a link to the book you have mentioned, please?!
Dick,
I know the theory but thank you neverthless Im not sure what you mean "pink panther". This is not my goal. I need proofs!
I'd be greatfull for any help!

Insulation is not a civil engineering discipline as it generally falls under mechanical engineering. Perhaps you may find the informations in the HVAC or other mechanical engineering forums.
