Maintenance and Safety Procedures

(OP)
Is there a good source for maintenance and safety as well as emergency procedures for 15KV and 5KV metal clad switchgear.  Be it online, published or manucacturer offered, any advise on the subject would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Maintenance and Safety Procedures

NFPA 70B, "Recommended Practice for Electrical Equipment Maintenance," 1998 Edition.

http://catalog.nfpa.org or phone 1-800-344-3555.

NFPA = National Fire Protection Association (USA)

RE: Maintenance and Safety Procedures

Also see NFPA 70E for safety-related information (Lockout/Tagout, etc.)

Note that none of NFPA standards are available for free.  You will have to purchase a copy or get one from a library.

RE: Maintenance and Safety Procedures

You might consider incorporating the Acceptance and Maintenance Test Specs of NETA, with info at www.netaworld.org

In the US, occupational safety and health {OSHA} materials must also be considered—exampli gratia, 29CFR1910.269, 29CFR1910.147, 29CFR1910.331-.335 at www.osha.gov
