I have a high Rankine Cycle output electricity, which is 50 MW. How can I get just 1 MW from this Cycle and use the rest for another application.

If I use step down AC voltage device, that is mean the whole 50 MW will step down. But I just need the 1 MW and keep the 49 MW for another application.

Any help will be appreciated in advance

If your electrical load is only 1 MW then that is what the alternator will deliver, although from a practical perspective using a 50 MW alternator for such a small load doesn't make sense. From the engine's perspective this is virtually a no-load condition and the machine may not operate correctly in the long term because airflow will be low and temperatures will not reach their design values.

What is the 'alternative load' you mention? The turbine needs some form of mechanical load - e.g. an alternator, compressor, or similar. You have the option to recover exhaust heat to raise steam or desalinate water.

you connect an auxillary transformer rated up to 1MW to the termanal leads going to the other application load main transformer rated up to 50MW. this would be the same as the application of a house power transformer so station load can be transferred from the startup transformer to the generator output. the prime mover's governor will be used to regulate the frequency/load

if you want to seperate mechanical work, you could use a spur gear. If you want thermal work, you could use a bled extraction
