Varying temperature load in Abaqus

Varying temperature load in Abaqus

Varying temperature load in Abaqus

(OP)
Hi
I want to add varying temperature load with depth to an I shaped girder (say 150F at top to 80F at the center) and then 120F to 80F for bottom three-fourth. In the next step, the whole structure cools down to 80 F with time for all the elements. I am using Abaqus to model the structure. Can anyone suggest me ways/commands to use to simulate the above situation. I am new to Abaqus and do not have much idea about temperature loading. Any help wud be greatly appreciated.

RE: Varying temperature load in Abaqus

Just run a steady state step followed by a transient. Keep the temperatures and use the same model, changing the element type, and use the temperatures as a predefined field in the load module.
