Part List

Part List

Part List

(OP)
Hi All:
when i create a Part List i cant add "project" column although i assigned all parts to the project!
how can i add the project in my part list?

Many thanks

RE: Part List

If you select one of your components in the Assembly navigator, RMB - Properties - Attributes, do you have an attribute "Project" , or what is the name ?
Then in the Partslist, RMB the column, - Style - select the tab Columns - press the button "Attributes..." ( second line from top to the right) select the attribute from above, OK.

Tomas

Mr tomas,
Yes I have in my assembly navigator column its name is: "Projects" in this column i can find what i need >> but i want to show this column from Drafting >> Part List .. its my problem..

in fact i need to create a "BOM" bill of material which contains:
1. Name 2. Description 3. Material 4. Mass 5. Type 6. Project 7. Quantity.

i have 2 ways to craete it:
1. from Assembly Navigator ... but i cant show the contents of Material column "the material of each part is hidden and when i try to open each part separetly i find the material is active and be shown!! but its not a solution to do it for all parts!!"

2. from Part List " Drafting" ... but i cant show project column which contain the project name which i assigned the part to it .. and it can be shown in assemby navigator..

its my problem..

thanks :)

RE: Part List

Are you at all using the Partslist function in drafting ?
IN drafting, first you add an out of the box partslist to your drawing, then add new columns to this partslist. On one of the added columns you do as i described previously, make that column list the attribute "project".
And finally you RMB the partslist and save that as a template for other drawings.

The Assembly navigator can export a static image of how the Assembly navigator looks, but it is not what i expect when i say Parts list.
The drafting partslist will update as soon as anything changes in the assembly.

Regards,
Tomas
