Are there any problems with this system?

RE: Raw Seawater Injection
Its in use in many oil fields.
Equipment is fairly standard. The seawater must however be treated. Oxygen must be removed and its fairly common to remove sulphur also.

RE: Raw Seawater Injection
'Raw' seawater injection is taking place in a couple of fields in Norway. Most noticeablly Statoil's Norne field. Raw basically means that the water is aerated ie no aeration column, and the water is filtered to say 100 microns and is treated with biocide and perhaps nitrates to manage the H2S levels.
Suggest you contact Raw Water Engineering in the UK. They have done work on subsea Rawwater engineering and the equipment required. http://www.rawwater.com
I am also working on Raw Seawater injection for my own production company. What applications are you looking at? Perhaps we can exchange information? Feel free to ask if you have further questions.

RE: Raw Seawater Injection
As a side thought I don't think we've ever considered corrosion inhibitor in this situation. Perhaps it could swing the balance, just a thought
