"Error deleting table row"

"Error deleting table row"

"Error deleting table row"

(OP)
Hi,
 when i delete a graphic element linked to a database in MSJ i used this
sequence of instructions:

mdlElement_undoableDelete(&elP,filePos,TRUE);
mdlDB_deleteElement(&elP);

and it works ok. In MSV8 this same sequence gives me this error message: "Error
deleting table row".

This error message still remain if i use only the first instruction... and the return value of both functions it's always SUCCESS.

Can you help me?

Thanks.

Chiara

RE: "Error deleting table row"

The problem is, when you are deleting an element, it is only a graphical deletion and the command is unable to delete the databse row from Access/Oracle table.
Go to msj's tool Settings->Database-Dialog and uncheck 'Delete Linked Databse Rows" item. You will no longer be nagged with the message.
However, if you desire to delete the databse row also, ask your databse administrator or if you want to do it youself check database priviledges (rights) as to who can delete with which passwords etc.
