Mass Attribut on Part List

Mass Attribut on Part List

Mass Attribut on Part List

(OP)
In NX8 it's very easy to add a column with mass on each component
But
How to do this in NX7.5 because the attribut function is not the same ?

TIA

RE: Mass Attribut on Part List

The column default text should be <W$=@$MASS> (see image).
You can see the attributes available by clicking on the arrow at the end of attribute name.

Hi Anthony

It seems that this attribut have an effect only with large assemblies module, but I have only a MACH2 license mad

Did you have this module ?

RE: Mass Attribut on Part List

I have every module as I work for a reseller. But you don't need advanced assemblies to do what you want.
You need to make sure that the parts have weight attributes saved.
You can use File -> Options -> Save Options & tick the box for Generate Weight Data. This will save the mass data for the part when the part is saved.
The better way is to turn on the customer default (see image). That way any part when saved will update the mass data.

Thanks a lot Anthony, It works very well.

Two more questions:

- How did you set the unit ?
- Have you find a way to calculate the sum ?

Thanks in advance

RE: Mass Attribut on Part List

The way I "calculate the sum" is measure the weight of the entire assembly.

RE: Mass Attribut on Part List
