UK standard source (BS) for material mechancial properties?

UK standard source (BS) for material mechancial properties?

UK standard source (BS) for material mechancial properties?

(OP)
Afternoon,

Being a Graduate Engineer in my first job (working on FEA at the moment)I find myself wasting alot of time looking for references/sources for actual material properties for stress work.

I know stainless steels can be found in BS EN 10088. However I'm struggling to find the carbon steel BS that provide young's modulus and proof strength. In particular I'm looking for 708M40 (Steel # 1.7225) can anyone point me in the right direction.

I of course know that E is roughly 200 GPa for steels but need the exact reference and that the proof strength depends on manufacture process.

wasting your time as you do not understand the question, but thanks anyway. To clarfy:

i have the material properties from online sources.

I require the British Standard that references this info. For example: Stainless steel equivalent: BS EN 10088: part 1 includes youngs modulus for stainless steels.

i am aware of this standard and it is superceded and from memory provides the chemical composition and other bits NOT youngs modulus. please stop wasting my time and yours. You either know or not, and it obviously the later. Thank for your time.
