FATIGUE CURVE IN ASME FOR STAINLESS STEEL 316L

FATIGUE CURVE IN ASME FOR STAINLESS STEEL 316L

FATIGUE CURVE IN ASME FOR STAINLESS STEEL 316L

(OP)
Hello Fellow Engineers,

I am working with stainless steel 316L(25oC) under the ASME Standard. I didn't find the fatigue curve for such steel, as the nomenclature in ASME Section II Part D is not usual to me. Could someone help me in finding such curve?

Thanks,

Joka.

RE: FATIGUE CURVE IN ASME FOR STAINLESS STEEL 316L

Fatigue analysis is not part of design by rules, specifically. If you are using fatigue analysis, this becomes design by analysis and the 2010 Edition of ASME Section VIII, Div 2, Part 5, 5.5 Protection Against Failure From Cyclic Loading is where you need to begin.
